To go superlows (King Springs) which will drop you about 2 inches or so is relatively cheap. I think king springs are around 180 bucks a pair nowadays and you will also need atleast 2 shortened shocks which wont set you back to much. If you cant do the work yourself add about 100 bucks on top of it, I would be expecting around the 500 - 600 mark.

Any run of the mill mechanic would be able to do it for you as long as you could supply the parts, even Holden. If you dont know what parts you need youll have to see someone like Pedders or another similar workshop that would have those sorts of parts on the shelf. Holden for example wouldnt have King Springs laying about.

Thing with people like pedders, walk in with a good idea of what you want because they will try upsell you with a whole range of other products, so I would definatly try source the parts yourself which is very easy if you can find yourself a Repco or something similar like a cluey mate (Avoid supercheap auto).

What you need is 2 * Front Springs 2* Rear Springs (obviously find out if you need IRS springs or not, being a VR you probally wont need IRS springs) and I think its 2 rear shocks from memory. The fronts dont matter to much, depending on how low you go. Superlows are fine with the stock shocks, but i think you need to change them if you go lower. Keep in mind though, your car is 15 years old give or take so it may not be a bad idea to change them regardless.

Any lower than super lows and you also have to start thinking about adjustable panhard rods or Camber kits (again dependant on IRS or not)
