Hyclones

hey, anyone know if those hyclones are any good? know a couple of guys who have them in hilux's and 4x4's but had anyone ever tried one in a commodore at all? the guys with their sub 100kw diesels say they work well and they can notice a difference. so add one to an LS1 and i will be laughing.

IMO I think they are a load of crap, I tried one in a 4cyl and 6cyl. If there was any petrol savings, I didnt notice and same with power gains. They have been around for about 15 odd years and why havn't they broken into the market. Especially when feul is a major concern over the last few years. If they are still about $80 - $150, save it and put a tank of feul in.

Heh, these things have been covered to the grave and beyond on this forum. General concensus is; "BOLLOCKS" or something of equal opinion

I saw something on tv or in the paper that the ACCC is taking legal action on the manufacturers of this product because their claims are unproven or have proven to be false etc.

I'm not 100% sure it was that particular brand but it was definitely the same concept.

Ive put a vortec cyclone behind a CAI (with shileded pod) and am very pleased with it ... ecotec v6 in VS commodore
