Default how to set backlash on a VR irs diff

hey guys, ive got some pretty nasty backlash in my diff, and i was wondering if there is a way to adjust it? ive had a look around and cant really find what im looking for, a diagram would be great too as im a bit thick.

    cheers, michael

I havent done a commy or an IRS one before, but normally its a "specialist" job, but doesnt mean you cant do it.
You will need a quality dial indicator for a start.

Depending if they are a shim design or screw adjuster design will depend how you go about it.
Generally the screw adjuster design is alot easier and less mucking about.

Do you have a spare IRS in your parts car that you can grab at the very least if something goes wrong with this one?

If you've got the indicator and basic tools your pretty set, unless you decide to do bearing in which case you may end up needing a large puller.
Bugger that the other one is Live axle.
Ill have a dig later and see if I can find some info on the diff.
