i have a holden vt berlina 2000 model and i recently got a catback muffler put in and i already had stock twin tip on the exhaust so the guy puttin it on offer would u wanna keep ur twin tips and we weld that on the system or u wanna spend another 200 for a new chrome twin tip i said nah il have my twins and reason i got this exhaust i want a good strong deep v8 sound on my car and by this doesnt make much difference so i was woundering if running a single head tip make much difference in any way?
let me know thanks
ps if any1 reading this that lives in melbourne dandenong area i got this done from mr muffler. shoulda i gone to dandy exhaust?
As far as I can tell, you want to know if a single tip will sound different to a twin tip?
I take it that if it had stock twin tips it is a V8? Why would you want to go a single system? If you went with a twin 2 1/2" it comes with tips.
I think we need more info....
nah its a v6 jst with twin tips at the end not the hole exhaust and ye i wanna know if a single tip with the catback muffler will that sound more grunter and deeper then the twin not like the twin sounds deeper but when it warms up it soorrttaa does only wen revin thats all
A single will sound a bit throatier as the twin tips will interrupt the sound a bit.
ok wel if i went the way of getin the twin tips he offered me woulda that made a diff in sound there catbacks my stock twins r way bigger then the ones u see on exhaust systems
Yes, they would sound different than a single.
ok i found out the stock twin tips im running on the catback muffler system is 3.5 inch and the catback twin tips are 2.5 is there a diff in sound there or? sorri about this im all new to this stuff and not all up there help me outthanks
Probably wouldn't notice the difference going from twin 2 1/2" tips to twin 3 1/2" tips. They would look better though.
ok ye would look beta wel wat makes the louded nose in ur exhaust the resonator, extractors, etc ?
A combination of it all. The most obvious change is the exhaust, because the pipe work is larger and the mufflers are straight through, it makes it louder. Extractors change the note again as they let the exhaust pulses go for longer before they merge, unlike a stock manifold.
