scoop or air cleaner sticking out of my 355?help.
well unfortionatly i dont think the carby n the air cleaner on my 355 are gonna fit under the hood so im either gonna need a bonnet scoop or just have the air cleaner sticking out the bonnet which would look alot better n tuffer than a scoop.but what if it pisses down rain will it do any damage?cheers.post up some pics if u can with scoops coz ive seen some which look gay as **** so i wanna see if a scoop will look ok.cheers.
maybe if some1 can please try n chop a scoop on it for me cheers.

nice paint job, is that your panel shop, scoops are legal within the guidelines and you have a variety, are air cleaners sticking out legal?
thanx man.nah my mates in epping.air cleaners arent but i can get it engineered off a mate so its all good.as long as u have something around the hole thats cut out so its not sharp,like rubber etc.

Who's your mate that'd engineer that? You'd be asking for trouble from the cops if you plan to drive with an air-filter poking through the bonnet, even if it is engineered... I think (to keep it legal - and hassle free...) the full length reverse cowl scoop would look good on your stato. I know you drop by AV8 at times so have a search of the threads there, there's a few threads about the reverse cowls on there. Remember that if you cut through any structural supports under the bonnet when making the hole, you have to reinforce the bonnet to keep it legal.

wrong thread to put that mate^^.neway i decided to get a torque power high rise single plane manifold with holes drilled out already for injection.now all i need is throttle body injectors and tune.
