The problem is each company have different stages.

One companys Stage 3 could have less than anothers stage 2. You really have to specify the company and the parts they'll be using.

You can make 150 rwkw out of a VP V6 no problem, but it will cost you twice as much as much or more than just going and buying a complete 5 litre car which will also have twice the torque in the mid range once you have gone that crazy on your V6

I don't understand what the fascination is with trying to build a fast N/A V6? It's a complete waist of time & money, Just boost it up and be happy....

Can't argue with that . Better still throw it in the bin and but a RB30 in it, then you can have power and legal (ish). The very fastest NA V6's are only in the high 13's best case and it's just not worth spending all those dollars to get there

i wana keep my v6 but to do an eight it would cost more money converting it, i know just buy an 8 instead of swapping it into the 6 but the car has sentimental value,
so u guyz think maybe i should just supercharger her and ill get the power that way or rebuild the engine with stage 3 componets and super charger.
couple years down the track i wana have her as a show car really..
i have 5,000 to spend what do u guys think i should get done to the engine
P.S i also wanted a stage 3 engine coz the engine has done almost 350,000kms and the guys at the auto shop said its pointless putting a stage 1 or 2 cam in coz the engine is old so u might aswell just rebuild her,
ne replys would be great cheers.

Once again, stages mean nothing if you don't list what parts it comes with

That engine wouldn't make much more power than a cammed VR V6. Same SCR, no flow figures, a drop in clive cam with uprated valve springs.

    ****ing crooks.

as i said in the other thread, just whack a turbo on it and you will get a great increase in power

does the car have sentimental value or the motor, could you not buy a 5.0 and do the transplant, you'll end up with more power straight away and it would easy to get work done on the motor while its out too.

nothing is hard if you have all the right parts, thats why i say source another car that has been smashed in the back or side, anything you need is there, look up conversions and have read and weigh it up as an option. I had my whole engine bay on the last car rewired to neaten it up and that only cost $350. When it comes to electrics, i like getting the pros to do it.

moderate boost on the engine and you will be absolutely fine. i was fine on 15psi. raised it to 17psi and blew a headgasket. but even then that was all.
