just thought id put up a few pics of my vn shifter ive been modding to my vk baseplate it works perfect and i shortened it an inch whilst i was building it
did it cause i hate early shifters wanted to upgrade but wanted a factory look
Looks cool, did you shorten it too? looks a tad shorter
yeah took an inch out of the shaft and inside pin thought it would be too tall standard..
looks real nice man, never seen that before good stuff
thanks for the comments its easy to do you start off with a vk shifter use the baseplate and the flat part of the shifter grind the tubular section off then grind the base section off the vr shifter and weld the vr top half to the vk bottom flat section after you fully gut the vr pole if you want it shortened you just cut the outer tube at the bottom only because it has barbs at the top to hold the knob on you also have to shorten the inner pin the same amount you also have to be careful you weld the vr post on the opposite side you from which you grinded it off the old base and the slot up top has to face fowards its a bit fiddly but not real hard..thought id chuck in a few instructions if anybody else wants to do one..
looks real clean man good job
shhh now PUPPET
very neat indeed. Looks like it's meant to be there.
Well done, I don't like the look of the aftermarket shifters either
that is simply awsome, good job.
looks sweet mate, definately consider doing this to my VK..
thanks for your comments guys..
