Default i thought more air intake the better...

i read everywhere that the more cold air you can jam in a motor the better well i put together a heaps less restrictive airbox , pipe setup and my car lost 50% of its power and ran like sh*t wouldnt even spin the wheels in the wet as soon as i made a restrictive tube for the airbox i could do standys no probs in dry not that i do them but i had to test it
is there something wrong im doing im running a straight gas research system gas reasearch tb on an injected manifold in a 202 or doesnt gas like to breath..

no ive got no injectors just a throttle body all injector holes were plugged and all other holes plugged on the manifold no fuel tank, lines, rail or injectors so it must go through the tb

ive never heard of it but im new to gas always thought it was for bbqs but since running it i wouldnt go back to petrol ill just keep my current setup as my car is just a cruiser but with the gas research it goes pretty hard for a mild 202 i dont think im losing any power over petrol (except when i try to jam more cold air in the motor) ...

intake was just plumbing pipe going to vr airbox via a couple of flexible joints it sucked way too much air had to block the airbox rectangular hole with a steel plate and a 1.5 to 2 inch steel pipe welded through it which doubled the power over having it fully open..

I'm just guessing here, but wouldn't you need a tune to tell your engine that there is a lot of air or something like that ?

Tunning GRA is more difficult then the average lpg system happy to answer any question you have regarding GRA systems .
More air requires more fuel , more ram air requires a balance hose to apply positive pressure to the secondary diaphragm
