    Default Quick WH question

Hey guys, first post here, sorry it has to be a question. I'll give a quick intro and then leave my question at the end.

I'm 19 and live in Victoria Australia, i used to have a VS but i got into some trouble with my license and lost it until september 2010 (lesson learned). Anyway, i recently got a full time job cabinet making and set up a bank account that i cannot touch until i get my license (red p's) back so hopefully i will have saved up enough to get myself a WH statesman. I have 1 quick question though, it seems 90% of the WH for sale on the market at the moment are Superchatged, is it really that hard to come across just a v6 non supercharged WH statesman? Also with the supercharged, what's the KW/Tonne ratio if anyone could help me out. I've tried searching the net all over however i turned up unlucky, i'm only recently starting to get into cars, however if i cannot get a WH due to power restrictions i'll be falling back onto the less exciting option of doing up a forester.

Thanks in advance and if you have any questions just post !

You can't get a WH with a supercharged Ecotec engine. The new laws which I think you'd be aware of for P Platers is no engine with 8 or more cylinders. No Turbo's Superchargers, Turbochargers etc. And no high performance V6's (M3's, 350Z, Audi's etc)

The Power to weight ratio won't apply in your case mate, all you need to worry about is finding a bog stock WH Stato with a standard Ecotec engine and you'll be fine!

That's alright, just curious sorry, there is no difference in the look of the car just the engine hey?

Thanks for your reply by the way mate. I plan on getting a WH, chucking the grange body kit on it, some chrome 20's and dump it and take it from there.

Yeah just the engine mate, some might have different features (options and the like) but yeah they're all pretty similar.

Just 1 last question guys. I see most stato's with the plastic strip all around the bottom of the car, kinda like what Forrester's have, on the stato is it possible to take this off or do people just get them resprayed when chucking on a body kit? Thanks in advance! (Not talking about the trolley strip)

Its not a seperate strip its just the sideskirts/bumpers painted a different colour at the bottom, some models came out with it the same color as the body (Eg. mine) the more basic WH's came out with the grey strips
