Look in the phone book, and ring around. Theres plenty of places that offer one way trips between certain places, you may just have to go out of your way abit when returning the trailer in QLD.

might want to reconsider getting it transported.
once you allow for trailer hire, one way fee, petrol and running costs of tow car, plus your time... it might actually work out cheaper to get it transported- and a hell of a lot easier to boot.
dropping off and picking up from a central depo can significantly lower the price too.
google 'car transport'.... there's a stack of companies that will do it for you. grab a few quotes to compare.
another option is to jump on to a large generic car forum like 'performance forums' or something, and offer someone some cash to borrow their trailer. when you tell owners that you're just towing a mini, they'll be much more open to it because its such a light car.
if you still want to stick with towing yourself, I actually hired a car trailer from hertz of all places. being a large company, they may allow you to drop off one way- but will probably charge you.
why do you need it one way?
hire from close to home and then return it. most hire companies wont like the idea of one way trailer hire- and certainly not for free anyway.
