I 've decided to install a stage two shift kit in a Vy commodore.It already has a PWR trans cooler, 3.91 gear ratio and new LSD center. Should I insist the shift kit be of the bmb brand and larger bands will be installed throughout the trans. I hope should be able to cope with extra torque. I heard you can install on your diff a mini spool locker and i've got the cash for the other upgrades to the trans but how much would the mini spool locker be aprox amount?

upgrading the trans is a good idea. The standard trans's seem to die in the ass around 130,000kms if you drive them with a little spirit.
Iv had by trans rebuilt with wider kevlar bands + clutches, beast sun shell, larger boost valve, billet steel servo's and better solenoids. I was told it would handle 650hp. Not sure if thats true or not, but iv never had a problem with it and i give it hell
