Alternator Warning Reset Code

I recently experienced the led Alternator Warning displaying. I had the local dealer check it out. It cost me 80 dollars to have the Warning reset. There was NO problem with the alternator. Is there a code which will reset the Warning display. I dont want to have to fork out 80 bucks every time this happens

there is no such thing mate you got ripped of badly.

the alternator is the problem. when the brushes dont touch the slip ring of the alternator then the warning light turn on
