    Default efi fuel pump

can anyone tell me what the pump pressure of a standard vn v8 pump is? and can i run 2 standard vl 3l pumps instead of a single pump or just one vl pump? will i need a higher pressure pump if i run higher pressure injectors

    Not enough info supplied.
The pressure of a fuel pump is determined by the fuel pressure regulator, not the pump itself. Maximum pressure of a pump will vary due to voltage fluctuations and flow rate among other factors.

Putting two pumps in either series or parallel won't boost pressures any higher than one pump will.

Why not buy a fuel pressure regulator to match the injectors?

    howdy,

Have had a bit of fun with these.

Standard VN uses two pumps 1 low pressure or lift pump in the tank and a seperate high pressure pump externally.

pressure straight out of the pumps into the gauge (dead ended) will be around 600 kpa

pressure at the fuel rail will be around 320kpa normally.

VPs and utes have a single high pressure pump in the tank,

as a hint if you need to replace pumps you can replace the low pressure in tank pump with a high pressure one (bit of mods needed they are longer) and delete the external pump. this is the cheaper option as internals are about $100 and externals around $220

I reckon V6 high pressure internal pumps are the same, I have run one of these with no exteral pump on my 5L with no probs

    Hope this helps
