VR Commodore Paint Colour?!?!

hi,
my misses has a vr commodore 1993, we are wanting to do a respray of the colour already on it, which is blue. but the colour code off the plate on the firewall is saying its the colour code for white?? the code is 1J064... is there a chance its been completely resprayed before? I've attached a pic so u can see what colour it is currently...

hey mate, ye thats highly likely the case, however theres also a small chance its been rebirthed etc, swapped compliance plates etc. highly doubt thats the case but. have u checked under the door trims to see if its all blue?

Looks a little like Canterbury Blue which is a factory VR colour. If it has been resprayed, not many bother painting engine bay, especially the chassis rails.

yeh i've checked elsewhere and the whole car is that colour! so if it was white someone did a damn good job of repainting it, and as far as we know it hasnt been re-birthed.... yeh it was a factory colour for the VR, got my puzzled about the code though.

1J064 is alaskan white. maybe someone stuck a different compliance plate on it. check to see if the engine number matches chassis number etc.

medium blue is Galaxy Blue which is 2b089. dark blue is Canterbury Blue which is 2b091.

Id say someone has swapped some compliance plates over or holden stuffed up, But i'd say someone would of picked up on it before now.

you could just get a complete respray in a diffrnet blue
or if she wants a full respray of the same color, its gonna be all done..pick a colour
