gas tank help can i remove

hi all i got told i could not take out the gas tank in my car? do i have to get a gas fitter to do it? needs to come out as it is 20yrs out of date and i dont use it or want a new one. car has to go to copshop defect.

Is it really THAT far out of date? Didn't know cavemen used LPG, lol.

Depends on whether the tank is still in working order, the tank has a tap on it to turn it off, so long as it doesn't leak past here it should be fine, the guys at work used to remove them at the wreckers i worked at without any dramas.

Just don't be a dick and smoke around the bloody thing. I've seen the aftermath.

It would probably be best to vent all the gas from the system and tank before you remove it if there is still any in there.

dont want to get it back in date as i will be selling it when its fixd and have cash. want a 5ltr vn or vp but need the car i got now for work.
car want start on gas so i think its out how would i vent the gas out? if it has any in it.
