I am guessing it’s a aftermarket alarm fitted if it is.
The alarm needs to see the wireless signal from the remote. This is what arms the alarm and disarms it.
Check the battery on the remote might be dead.

Well its a matter of finding the alarm module and cutting the wires that have been tapped into the factory wires. Make sure you tape the factory wires up after cutting the alarm wires off.
And then there should be a relay wired up that is used for immobilizing the car. Find this relay and figure out which wire should join back together. Figure out what circuit it is immobilizing. (Starter/Efi/Fuel pump)
This is for a basic alarm. There's alarms out there that Immobilize The starter and EFI at the same time.
So if your not confident get a mate that knows or a Sparky to do it.

Find out what the alarm is immobilizing and bypass this and the car will start.
Look under the steering Colum and further down i have found this is were most installers immobilize the car using aftermarket alarms

I was actually talking about the immobilization of the car not the alarm module itself.

same thing happen to sons s15, what it was water was entering in the system where you use key to disarm if your car is getting worked on (the box under the bonnet to disarm with your alarm key)
he had to replace this box cost was about $100 through autobarn.
I hope this helped a bit.
