Would kinda help if you told us what you were getting a quote for and what you want done.

Other than that, check out GSL Rally Sport in the site sponsor section.

Probably the fairest quote of the bunch.

sway bar bushes, have worn links 190
Rip-off. Aftermarket heavy duty links can be had for under $50, it'll take them 10 minutes of labour once the struts are already off.

worn upper mounts on upper bushes 170
    No idea on that one.

lower bushes-movement in tower bushes 560
They are doing the struts, so there should be no extra labour charge here. The parts themselves should only be about $200, so that's a total rip job.

    radius bushes 390
Bushes are about $150 for the pair, pretty sure it won't take them 3hrs to fit them...

bumpstops- boots broken, bumpstops worn 90
As with the strut tower bushes, no additional labour involved. That's a spastic price for bump stops and boots. Also, it's interesting they can tell that without taking the struts off the car...

    rear shocks 300
Shocks should be about $70 each, takes them all of 15 minutes to fit them. $200 would be closer to the mark.

If you want a good job, try Heasman's Steering in Tempe. They aren't the cheapest, but they are very good at what they do.

well tanks danja, went to heasmans this morning. they checked it and unlike pedders, who said everything needed replacing, they said everything is fine, drive it another while and bring in if the noise gets worse, and it might be easier to pin point. shocks ok, sway bar links ok,just a few bushes at some stage, but nothing major.
he said if i really wanted to replace the worn bushes, it would be $110 dollars, but he wouldnt bother yet.
some difference from pedders who quoted $2300.

front shocks -Are available through Monroe for about $100.00 each, and also available genuine for about the same.
sway bar bushes have worn links. -Link pin kits are available aftermarket for around $50.00 a pair.
worn upper mounts on upper bushes. Strut top bushes tend to sag and then knock over bumps. they are available new for around $30.00 each
lower bushes-movement in tower bushes. Same as above (strut top bushes).
radius bushes. -Cost about $165.00 each genune however Id go with the Super Pro brand which are around $160 a pair.
bumpstops- Strut bellows are prone to falling apart, you can either leave them out or go for aftermarket for around $50.00 a pair.
rear shocks- You can buy a pair of Monroe shocks for around $140.00 a pair.
Id stick with the super pro brand on you caster and sway bar links however I'd use genuine strut top bushes, whilst you're changing your strut top bushes I'd also change the strut top swivel bearings that sell for around $28.00 each.
I'm sure that Monroe Australia produce the Pedders range of shock absorbers and I'm also pretty sure that the Pedders brand have a slightly different and heavier valve body installed in them. Your labor costs to have both front struts and caster bushes removed, replaced, dismantled and assembled should be around the $250.00 mark and then you'll be up for around $50.00 for a front wheel alignment. To have your rear shockers fitted the labor should be around the $80.00 mark. If you go to reputable mechanical workshop his hourly rate will be between $50.00 and $90.00 per hour, and if you choose to go to a dealership that can rise to anything up to $150.00 per hour.
