Very easy DIY - I've been told with Oil Pressure there's 'sandwich plate' you can get that sits between the oil filter and oil pump to get the reading, and the water temp can by sensored from a part that goes into a radiator hose near the radiator itself. Volts can be basically tapped in anywhere electrical, I have mine running off the ignition.

no offense or anything... ahhh **** it, take offense... but if you dont know how to wire it up, why would you need a volts guage?

In all seriousness, the only reason you need it is to monitor the voltage in your system and id hazard a guess and say you wouldnt know what to do if it did start dropping because you cant even wire it in... really basic car electronics here.

Will the guage serve any purpose other than just "looking sweet"?

    Oil Pressure:

Never use mechanical oil pressure guages unless mounted outside the car.

    1. mount guage. get +ve and -ve and illumination, easiest place would be from the cigarette lighter afaik the speco/autometer 2" guages draw around 2-3 amps and should ok on the same fuse ( i run 4 of them)

    2. Find oil pressure switch - it is located on the engine, near the bottome, just above the sump (near the pwr steering pumps, i think?) on all buick/ecotec engines, you then can either take the oil pressure switch out ir by a t-tap so you can connect both the pressure switch and and sender unit (for the guage, useally 1 wire)

    3. run a wire from the sender unit to the guage

For the water temp you will need to buy a joiner for your top radiator hose that has a thread in it, in which you can screw the sender unit into (automter/speco make them, around $25 from repco/autobarn etc)

well thats a preety basic explanation, they are preety easy to do, and i cant be bothered to spell check because im tired.
