Default Not happy with JAXQuickfit Tyres

I had four tyres replaced on my ride at JAXQuickfit tyres in Kensington 8 months ago, paid top dollar for a set of Goodyear tyres. Went through their warranty plan had the wheel re-aligned periodically as they recommended. A month ago back tyre started to wear out improportionately, took it back and paid for JAXQuickfit to align it, they didn't really do a good job, as vehicle still swings to the left. I was told to get it fixed by Pedders because they didn't have the equipment to do it, which I did, $1300 later. Two weeks ago I had a puncture and noticed the tyre have completely had it. Took it back to Jax, asking if they can at least look after me with a replacement tyre, considering that the tyres are only halfway through their expected life span. The owner told me where to go and absolved himself of any responsibilities. Considering that one of their store in Maitland told me a month ago that the alignment was bad and balancing on the wheel wasn't properly done. I wasn't asking for much, just for some common courtesy considering I've given them all my business in the course of 12months to replace all four tyres and two brakes, but the attitude I was given was unacceptable. I was told by the owner of JAXQuickfit tyres at Kensington, NSW to take my business somewhere else, so I did. FAIL JAXQuickfit on all counts for good customer service.

So you got a puncture and expect them to replace it for free???? Punctures happen mate, get on with life.

But sure take them up with their quality of service.

i think hes getting at that the tyres were half stuffed due to bad alignment by them in the first place, not so much as it had a puncture but it wouldnt suprise me with jax, like most bigger companys, probably dont care because most people still go there anyway

From expirience they are REALLY bad in there.
I know some of the people that work in there, and they don't have to be qualified in anything. They'll still employ them.

fair enough that you are pissed off, but you might need to relax a bit and think about it logically. first you complain about the wheel alignment being shit and the car tracking to the left. you then took it to pedders and got that fixed with a $1300 bill. so your car obviously had other problems and you got some parts replaced but the bad tyre wear and vehicle tracking had nothing to do with the wheel alignment performed by jax (otherwise you wouldn't have had a $1300 bill at pedders would you ). you then got a puncture, which you expected jax to fix for free.

look at it from their point of view: they have a customer who had $1300 worth of worn components in their suspension come back and complain about a wheel alignment being off, and then come in and ask for a free tyre 8 months later because one got a puncture. if that was my business i would be telling you to go somewhere else as well!

i have free puncture repairs for the life of my tires for no extra cost. if a wheel shop is decent they would tell you that you need to get something fixed before a alignment will be any good.

go back to the other store and see if that guy will back up his comments about the bad alignment and balance job to head office with the complaint your going to make

Wouldnt you think there should be?
Considering I've seen them advertising wheel alignments and suspension checks.
Also there is a "tyre fitter" trade.

most tyre shops will do the toe and go method and forget the rest , always ask for a print out from there wheel aligner if it has one or the before and after spec's of the wheel alignment , seen alot of guys in the trade use the same settings for all commodores regardless of height or tyre rim combo IRS vs 5 LINK commodores , whats good for the family hack isn't to good for a HSV
