powder coating rims

hey all,

im wanting to get my rims powder coated black. I live in the eastern suburbs of melbourne and was wondering if anyone knew where i could get it done? a rough price would also help a great deal. cheers!

Rough Pricing -
Sandblast and powdercoat 17" wheels and up ~$80/wheel
Powdercoat only (new wheels) 17" and up ~$40/wheel

Metalic Paint/Pearl etc costs more.

They are 17" Enkie rims for my ralliart. Would you recommend sandblasting them?

Depends on the finish now. If they are in good nick and you just want to change the colour then you can powdercoat over the old powdercoat without sandblasting. If they are scratched/chromed/painted or in generally poor nick then definitely sandblast.

I'd suggest ringing a few powdercoating places to get quotes. I recently got mine done for $80 a wheel including blasting. You'll find some places aren't interested in doing car parts and may price higher

hey bro

$240 to powder coat the rims in satin black. not including refitting and balance. most shops that exclusively do powder coating should probably do a good job.
