HELPPP guys..its a VE COMMODORE

hi guys , I recently bought a VE..its a storm affected vehicle (WA)
the first couple of times i started the engine...it coughs nd spits and tels me CHECK ENGINE AND POWER REDUCED MODE
so i took the air filter unit and the metal thing on top of the engine off...cleaned it coz it had water in it ....i sprayed carby cleaner on them..also sprayed thaat on the spark plugs nd cranked it a couple of times nd there was no water there..also added fuel stabiliser to the fuel tank...drained the oil and coolant..there was no mix in them but i did it to have new oil nd coolant
after doing that ....it started fine nd runs smooth but i still get the CHECK ENGINE signal on but NO reducued power...
Any ideas guys???
nd should i not run the car anymore just incase??

did you re set the computer by disconnecting the negative battery terminal? works in a VN. trying to help.

nah havent done that...

thanks mate..it worked i reset the comp by taking the battery off and it worked
