Default need to add k's to my speedo

Anyone know of someone in Brisbane that can change the digital trip meter in the speedo cluster?
I have a friend that needs to ad 100,000 kilometres to her car as the original speedo died and the replacement has far too few k's to match up to her log books.
I have tried Otto's but it has to go away interstate and its a 7 day turn around.
Its a toyota not a holden

The cost to get it changed will hurt. Between $100 and $150. No easy fix on those.

And for 100kms - not worth the cost I'd say. Cheaper to go driving for 100 kms

Usually people try to turn them back! Just go on a road trip, don't worry if you go over the recommended service interval by 100kms.

OK, well in that case it probably isn't worth driving 100,000kms. Sorry but I can't help with the digital odo.

When I have replaced the speedo in my old cars, I have just put the original odo back in to make it match up.

You could try a toyota dealer perhaps. And in vic there are a few places that do instruments, expensive though. I'm sure up in QLD you should be able to find a couple of similar places.

Low km speedo will sell easily, just wack it on sales here or ebay and buy another closer to your km.Cheapest way out.

Perhaps consider the 'Ferris Buller's Day off style.' Raise the back wheels and engage the cruise control.....for approximately 1,000 hours at 100 km/h.

In all seriousness though, I'm sure Toyota would be able to help your friend out, especially if they have the log books to prove it needs to be 100,000 more and not 100,000 less.

Over here all you need to do is get it certified. It is recorded to have had a cluster change at a certain KM reading and the new reading is recorded as well.

Hmm digital. I may know, but not that confident. Will post back if I can get in touch with my mate who did this to Toyota (I think)
