Angry supension settings for race car

    need help please
G'day troops. Can anyone help with the front end settings, sway bar diameter, etc. for a rally car VC 6cyl. which just won't steer round corners and wanders at high speed in a straight line?
It's really impossible to drive and just goes beserk on corners!!!
Has anyone tried a lot of toe-out? softer rear springs? Or anything?
    Thanks Rob.

I couldnt say for sure on a rally car but when setting up my street VK I did the following.
    I have
    Front adjustable caster
    Front adjustable swaybar
    Adjustable camber
    Adjustable damper front shocks
    King 50mm lowered front spings

    Rear adjustable swaybar
soon to have rear adjustable caster
    non adjustable soft rear shocks
    adjustable panard rod
    King 50mm lowered springs

Combination of rubber & nolathane suspension bushes

I have found the following setting my car up for the road

More positive front caster turns into corners better and smoother but makes the steering heavier, I think im running 3.5deg more than standard
I run between 1 to 1.5deg negative camber depending on driving im doing normal street trim is 1deg a track day I get it set to 1.5
Sway bars I set the rear about 15-20% softer than the front which tends to help cornering
Springs im just running progressive rate normal kings previously for a 6cyl now for a 5L
Unless im driving on really smooth roads I run the shocks fairly soft which stops the car bouncing around over bumps on the road, I run the backend much softer than the front.
Wheel alignment I run slight toe in, which helps the car track straight, toe-out will have it tramline following grooves in the road and make it wander all over the place

I suggest you talk to a suspension expert, find out what you are currently running and in what trim, I suggest you go to whiteline (www.whiteline.com.au) most of my suspension gear is from whiteline it is top notch equipment.

    cheers
    Scott
