Default how to extend bonnet release cable?

i want to run my bonnet release under my guard (it's going through a hole in behind the kick panel, so this part of it is sweet)
problem is, it's too short by about 10cm. are there bonnet cables you can buy and make to length, or has anyone had any experience with lenghthening their cables before. i guess the pull on a bonnet cable is fairly strong because it's a really stiff spring (compared to the throttle one) so ideally i wouldn't be cutting to extend it.

don't run the cable through the firewall to start with just go direct to behind the guard...

remember to put some tension on the remaining/fake 'bonnet release' inside the car with a spring or something - so when the cops pull it it should *feel* like it's working lol

I had to shorten the one in my VK. I have it going out up behind the dash through a hole we drilled, going under the fender, and through a hole into the rad support panel. And yeah had to trim some off. Is there a different route u could take?

right now mine is coming through from the cabin, through a hole i drilled in the kick panel, then via the hollow between the front quarter and the bay panels, then under the the top of the front (i think it's called the radiator support) panel.
are you guys saying you ran yours with release leavers under the guards/bumpers?

I got a fitting that the cable slots through and u do up a screw. They cost $1....altho I done it up tight as, but still only lasted about 10 pops of the bonnet and it come off. Might look into one of these other ones which ya solder.
