sell as whole
strip it
First up, this is not a for sale thread
hi guys, basically my ute was just written off, and i would like to know from people who have done it in the past if it is worth stripping it down to sell in parts, or sell it as a full vehicle.
once again this is not a for sale thread, do not offer me money for anything, i don't want the thread deleted.
the car is a 97 vs spack ute
- 5ltr (230,000kms)
- 5speed manual
-shit 18 inch alloys
- very clean interia
- genuine maloo front bumper, 2 genuine hsv grills
- clean seats
-2 straight doors
-average condition tail gate
- shit tub liner
- hard lid that i have half sanded back (still perfectly fine just looks rough)
- 3inch exhaust and shit headers
that basically sums it up, is it worth stripping or selling as a whole.
would not need alot to get back on the road to have a clean ute.
cheers
if you got room to strip it then do. if not then dont.
you will make a bunch more off it in pieces.
yeah i live on 6.5 acres lol, i think i can find a spare corner :P
"The mind is its own place, and in itself, can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven."
apparently wasting my time with 97 cubic inches
milk doesnt come in 1.6 litres
my geminis
actually to be honest, thats what i was worried about, starting it and never getting the time to finish it.
well if you want the extra $$$$ you will find the time to strip it. Id say strip it tho

Yep, parts will get more money, depends if you want the bother of stripping it and waiting for it all to sell.
yeah thats the other thing. sell it whole get 1k, sell it in bits get 2.5k but in 50 dollar bursts. by the time you sell your next part you have spent the last 50 on booze.
or hookers
cheap ones...
you made a decision yet?
If not, I'd agree, to strip also, don't even need to do it at once, just whenever a part is sold, take it off, then cover it up, till the next part is sold.
hey ladies and gents, just to let you know i was able to sell the car as a whole for 4gs, and got a 7g payout from shannons. so in total I got $11,000 for a vs ute 5ltr 5spd manual with 230,000 on the clock.. i was happy, seeing as i paid $8,100 for it 6 months earlier
dont think ya wouldve made that outta parts :P
i probably would have made a bit more out of parts, but im happy with it all going as a whole for 4gs
