    Default holden ignition barrel problems

    Hiyall, first post.
    I have a 2004 Cx8 Adventra, top car, love the big V8.
Had a problem with the ignition barrel, the key went in but wouldn't turn, got a mobile locksmith.
Daniel from Ultimate locksmiths, 0400 060 001, arrived on time, did a great job, I paid $55 for the barrel at Holden, Daniel charged $185 to install, he could have saved me another $25 if I'd bought the barrel from him not Holden.
Any probs with Holden barrels give him a call, he did 5 before mine and was off to do a Vectra and a Rodeo afterwards.
    Cheers,
    Badventra

Didn't think about the beer and smokes side of it, I'm an idiot!
Only put his details up 'cos I was so impressed.
The car was stuck in Sydney and I live on the Central Coast and of course the ignition stuffed up on Australia day, so was pissed off.
No one around to give me a hand and as I just got the car dont have a workshop manual and wasnt carrying any tools.
    cheers, badventra

you'll be KICKING yourself in the nuts when you learn just how easy the install is!
10-15mins of your time and done, I would compare it to replacing a headlight globe on the battery side of a VY, VZ.
if your happy, we all are, and yeah great for daniel too!
Nobody wants to play with me
