    Default Gunk build up on exhaust

    any ideas what this is on my exhaust, it's only on this section???
    and what can i do to remove it??

    Maybe there was a leak and they put putty on it?

    that, my good friend, would be a plastic bag (once upon a time)

    idle road debris picked up and melted onto your exhaust. you can get rid of it with a wire brush and a lot of swearing.


    now you know how those dolphins feel.

    plastic bag makes sense. swearing and elbow grease it will be. pmsl on the dolphin line

    some turps a wire brush and a rag should do it, once the exhaust is cold.

    yea same... has happened to me a couple times. Just let it burn off, it will eventually
