    Default dented exhaust from diff

I got my exhaust done by jack bedhams end of last year and I got under there today to see where my car was scrubbing and while I was under there I spotted my exhaust is being dented by the diff.

Does this require rectification. If it does should jack bedhams fix it as its a pretty stupid place to put a pipe imo. Or is it nothing to worry about. I add pictures for your reference.

I'd be going back to where you got it and have it fixed.

if it was a live axle I wouldn't be surprised
    but the VU has IRS.

have they just mounted the exhaust too close to the diff or are the hangers allowing the exhaust too much movement ?

Id say its a bit of both ey apart from the muffler and the very exhaust tip there is no hangers so the exhaust has a bit of free play

either the mount points have moved or the rubber hangers have deteriorated or it's a crap job.
i reckon it looks like it was built to run a little too close to the diff.
i'd be having a chat with old matey that installed it at the exhaust shop.
don't go postal though - maybe they worked on a different part of the exhaust and this problem already existed ?

Looks to me like they put the dent there to clear the diff. There are only two hangers on the whole system anyway, behind the muffler and just before the tip.

It was fitted or made wrong for it to hit the diff. Unless you hit something with the exhaust and it slammed into the diff, denting it.
