    Default Aerial sticking

Hi I have a Commodore Executive and the aerial started sticking/jumping/clacking. It goes up in a jerky way and when it gets to the top it keeps clicking and jumping. Same when it goes down. Anyone know how to access the motor?

usually means you need a new rope & mast (if you can still buy them from Holden)

but first you could check & make sure the mast is straight (bend it straight if reqd). Then spray some silicone spray onto the mast and rub it in with a rag. Run the aerial up and down and repeat the process a couple of times. It should start running smoother if it's repairable

Not Sure if its correct or not but i have been told this happens if the belt inside has over run the gear. Might be able to open it up and have a look.
