Hey guys ive always had the burning desire to put a super 6 into a Gemini, ive seen it done before but never had much info on if it can be engineered or not, as long as brakes and brake booster have been upgraded is there any other dramas im likely to run into?
would be great if someone on here has done it before so i can pick their brain... also not sure on any firewall/trans tunnel modifications if they are needed to get the motor and auto box to fit, id also like to convert the stud pattern to a commodore 5 stud.
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
Pretty sure its not. I looked into this years ago.
I know you can put the Rodeo motor in it though. 3L V6 or whatever it is.
ahh yeah, theyre quite a tourqey little engine too from memory... shame about the l67 though...
maybe if its N/A i might have a chance, go with a 4.2 stroker

Nah cant put a 3.8 in at all. I think its to do with capacity to weight ratio.
dam government ruin all my fun lol

might have to go with a rotor... then they can jam their stupid capacity rules![]()

Anyone here ever heard of a CDT gemini turbo.A mate of mine had a black one a few years ago,had the build number on the glovebox etc, there was only a few made,he sold it to a mate,it had a different engine put in it,a non turbo, but I know where the original engine etc is,and Ive been trying to track the car down to see if they are interested in selling it.Its also had a colour change.I was originally black years ago. The new engine that was put into it was blown up apparently last we heard.Im just waiting to hear back from this guy who sold it.
nah sorry man no idea

Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
I got the lame part
Seriously though, I highly doubt you could legally drop a v6 into a gemini. Would be a weapon though.
It must be legal somewhere or why would these guys be selling kits ??

There is an old Gemini V6 thread here Charged V6 Gemini at last!
Found some updated info on the same Gemini http://www.delcohacking.net/forums/v...php?f=16&t=689
I have some engineering stuff here from the RTA, I'll have a look through it.
2600cc is about your limit according to what I have here. You'd have to talk to an engineer about what's required for legality.
Wasn't there a 2.#L version of the V6 in the states? Can't remember now.
This tread has got me looking at gemis on ebay....
Oh dear![]()
cant do it. engine size capacity is too big.
would be a sick strip car though
a V6 CAN be done. it HAS been done.

Move to Victoria and you can do it. Legally.

I saw a few years back in Street Machine a guy had a Gemini with a 350 in it. Completely street legal. It dit have a roll cage and racing harnes but still street legal. So I dont see why a v6 would be much of a hassle.
Wasnt there a guya few years ago with a L67 in a sigma used to run 11's street legal ? Sigma wouldnt weight much fir then a Gemmie !
