cheap exhaust mod, mainly for better sound on a v6 vz crewman

im thinking of getting something done to my exhaust, but not sure whether to get the rear muffler cut out and have straight through 2.5 inch from middle muffler, or replace the rear muffler with a hotdog muffler?
will be getting a full system ebentually but want something besides that tin can sound for now, any suggestions??

Better sound or louder sound? You won't achieve a better sound without drone without extractors. Louder is easy, getting a 'better' sound is what's hard. Especially because it's a 6. Any exhaust on a V8 5L works

Save the money you're about to spend modifying the stock system and put it towards your new exhaust.
