Hey All
Had some tint done on the commodore today.
Have had a 35% then a 20% over the top. Looks amazing, Just unsure of what % This would equal.
So, are Any tinters out there able to tell me what this combination would be in % to do on another car?
Any help would be great!
Its 100% illegal.
But if you really want to know what percentage it is, drive down to the nearest police station and ask them to check it, they have the measurement tools, and I'm sure it will even be free, the testing that is, not the follow-on.

Wouldn't that be -15% lol
Can you see anything thru?

Should be pretty close to a 5% tint film. Seriously though, can you see anything out the windows at night?

Not good enough what you need is 5% and then another 5% on top of that.
I got the same Tint solartint use for the ambulance tinting apparently
Awsome in the Day #### of a thing at night compared to my daily lol
Surprisingly, yes night vision is still great, only drove. Short distaance though last night. Yes yes totally illlegal but ill deal with that when the time comes.
35% + 20% on top would be 7% just fyi
how about a pic wouldnt mind seeing what it looks like..
Friend of mine runs that on his 4wd. Which is legal in nz from the b pillar back (35 rule doesn't apply to limos, utes, vans or 4wds but does to wagons)
It's really dark but you can see out provided no one turns the interior light on.
Did you use good quality tint? The crap Repco sell fades really fast, 15%s pass the 35 test after about 3 months
Yeh I had it on my previous car, I used 3M solar tint, it lasted the whole 4 years I had the car for.
see the problem with that, there is no such thing as ambulance tint.. or limo tint.. its just a darker rating which anyone can get.
they just say it ambulance tint to trick people to think they have special tint. i only called mine ambulance tint because my mate that tints the ambulances did it, and its the same brand and rating he does the ambulances. not solartint
