both gearbox's are equal strengh just differant ratio's so the inpuut shaft wont fit the v6 box so it's of to the engineer's to have it modified everything else is the same..

Not sure if there's a question in there? But other than ratio differences as you've outlined, the main difference is that the V6box input shaft has to be shortened approx 50mm to suit a V8 application. Also have different clutch cable, bellhousing and clutchfork. A V6 clutchfork however can be modified to suit a V8 by removing the large weight block on it.
Clutch assembly is obviously also different.
