I bought a 2006 SVZ Commodore this week and it has been lowered 2", has a sports exhaust fitted and has 18" rims on it and no insurance company wants to touch it. Who can recommend an insurer that will help me? Surely its not the only lowered Commodore on the planet (I know its not lol). I just want to be able to take my baby for a cruise without being paranoid that some muppet is gonna hurt her.
Justcar are actually better then I thought they would be.
I'm with Shannons, both the VR and the daily VS are covered for quite a reasonable rate. Both have all mods covered, and in under 25
VR II S sedan - Genesis Blue - Cammed 304 - T5 - 19's - Weekend warrior
VS II S ute - Diablo Red - V6 - Getrag - Daily Hack
I thought Shannon's couldn't touch anyone under 25?
I've been with them since I was 19, I think there was a period when they did
VR II S sedan - Genesis Blue - Cammed 304 - T5 - 19's - Weekend warrior
VS II S ute - Diablo Red - V6 - Getrag - Daily Hack
I was with justcar until I was 24, after that aami and racv were cheaper. Justcar will cover unlimited legal mods as long as you tell them and the premiums are pretty good.
The excess is pretty steep though, so don't go running into things......
my vt was low with body kit, racv insured mine, no one else would tho coz of the mods, fairly reasonable priced. Im over 25 tho, dont know if thats why or not.
I have been ringing around for my SSV. I'm 36. AAMI is cheapest for me, with lowered mod.
Just cars I have found are the cheapest. THe guys at shannons I have found are a bit rude and have an attitude like they dont need your business.
Dont tell them its lowered tell them its Sport Suspension... they seem to like that better
