Im currentley converting a L67 and m30 out of a wh 05 statesman into a Hj Holden. Im using pat gardener mounts and CAE wiring harness and computer reprogram, I haven't hit any trouble yet but any heads up on trouble people have had doing this would be great also any recomended mods for these engine. Im planning to intercool a2a it and blow around 15-17 psi with yella terra( am i just being stupid), also all the simple mods from mace such as heat sink plates and throtle body ect, also looking at a larger cam. Any info woukd be appreciated as im new to these engines and still learining
I cant comment on the technicalities, but if you're sticking an L67 into a HJ, I sure hope you do a build thread on it.. interesting and different, love it.
l67torque.com has heaps of technical info on these engines. What sort of a2a intercooler you thinking of running? MACE or BYE or did you have some other in mind?
I was planning on using a mace adapter plate
Will be a nice conversion. The L67 is designed for pulling big heavy barges around so in a light HJ it will haul. XP Hot cam from zzperformance.com or an Intense stage 2 blower cam from Intense-racing.com would be my pick. Water to air is my preference for intercooling as it's as instant as it gets under the throttle. Either MACE or Yella Terra have good options. I may be able to help you with tuning once it's all in as the A2A won't run that great on a stock tune and a cam with either W2A or A2A will be way lean after the mid range and lacking timing
