can a vy/vz dash go into a vx ?????

I have a vx commy. Just wondering if a vy or vz dash would fit in a vx or vt. Would the cluster plug in? How about the air and heat switches, and the lights aswell. Would it be as easy as a straight swap, plug in play. Really need help quik. A mate is wreaking his vy so i wanna snatch it b4 its all gone.

They aren't a straight swap. A lot of changes are needed to get everything to work, oh and the dash shape is different.

it has been done before, i have seen it on this forum before, cant think of who it was tho...anything can be done with time and money

The mounting points are different I believe, as well as the wiring. Definitely not a plug and play thing, but it can be done

Yes, but it's a mission. There's a guy that just finished doing it on SC, but all he posted was before and after pics lol.

im startin to gather stuff for my vu. but im doing to the cheating way which i think 17UKN did,

bacially leaving the cluster and adapting all the vy/z swtiches to the vt/x/u wiring, which should make it easier, but there is a guy on SC with a vx clubbie with a complete conversion, completely new wiring job from a vy/z with bcms and all the stuff that goes with it, new engine harnesses etc. not a small job. but he had electrical issues so it was a good time to do it for him
