PBR RPM clutches Vs. Exedy HD

Hey guys,

Title says it all. I can get RPM clutch about $200 cheaper almost, and people have negative and positive views for each..

It's not going in anything massive, max the car would ever have would be 250RWKW (note, EVER, it won't though).

Basically to handle around 150RWKW, exedy I have been told all the way.

I don't know much about the PBR RPM range, but if you have ANY experience please let me know, I want to make sure I don't get it then it's shit.

Note, it's for my vy v6, It'll be coming with the full kit + Single plate HD flywheel.

I've got the Exedy HD solid flywheel in mine, much better feel, a lot tighter. I can't say I've tried the RPM
but I'd be telling you an extra $200 is worth it for the peace of mind.

Yeah I've got that in my mind aswell, but I've been told the same thing about RPM.. So kinda on a weird spot. More replys for the PBR would be awesome too.

Keep in mind it's torque that kills clutches, not so much hp.

I've got a HD RPM clutch behind my 206rwkw 304 with 3.08 LSD diff. It's my second clutch (had a standard clutch before that, pressure plate fractured). It handles the power ok with 2 people in the car, but one day I had a couple of big boys in the car with me and gave it a bootfull and the clutch slipped big time. Thought I'd buggered it, because all I could smell was burnt clutch for the next week or so. But it seems to work fine again now, I now resist the urge to give it a bootful if I'm carrying hefty passengers

So yeah next clutch I'll be going for is an Exedy. Heard only good things about them.

Well my car ran 630NM but thats with diff gears.. Loads of torque but no power LOL.

I got an RPM HD in mine about 4 months ago. My cars got 250RWKW, it is a very stock feel and hasn't shown any signs of failure. I would buy one again, not worth the extra $200 for the exedy when the clutch plate and flywheel are the same brand anyway

NPC is a big brand in the clutch department, they do wonderful things with V8's and my old ecotec had an NPC clutch behind it.

Went with PBR RPM one, but GSL rallysport sell the complete exedy kit for $1039

I got my kit for $880 (retail $1680).. Soo.. yeah lol
