    Default Loose exhaust

    Hey guys & girls

Well since my car is too low (bought it like that but fortunately have some stock springs if needed) everytime I am going over a speed bump very slow I might add I hear this heart breaking scraping noise. Now I know this can't really be avoided apart from bagging it but I noticed that the exhaust is getting a bit loose. By loose I mean if you touch it , it moves around a small bit. Is this alright or should I have it checked out and try and get it tightened or can I even tighten it myself with a couple of metal cable ties.

    Thanks

    Wogboy

All exhausts move, they hang on rubbers so they have to. If they were solid, the car would vibrate like a bitch when running. As long as it doesn't move so much that it hits anything, it will be fine. Get them to check for leaks in the exhaust, if it isn't leaking, and all the rubbers are fine, nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately this is fairly normal. If the exhaust system is fine (as NAAF has mentioned above) then the only thing that you can do is replace all the rubber hangers as the old ones are probably sagging a bit.

i had the same issue, but it was hanging really low and hitting something (cant remember what it was)
turns out, the furthest rear rubber was completly wrecked, and the second one down (towards the front of the car), was completely missing
put new rubbers in, sat up for a day, but now the left pipe is sitting lower than the right?
anyone have any idea how to fix that?
