2001 Astra Driveaxle removal..

Hey All, Im trying to remove LH side driveaxle, im unsure at which point i lever..? In the book it looks like the far side of trans...Help

You need to use a large screwdriver placed between the inner CV joint and the transmission housing. The whole axle is removed as a unit complete with inner and outer CV joints. It's only retained on the inner end by a circlip. Get the car well off the ground to give yourself room to move the screwdriver. Place it between the CV and the trans and push the handle towards the centre of the car. The axle should just pop out.

Make sure you have a container handy to catch the oil that comes out too.

Got it out Thanks, didnt lose any oil but ordered the wrong axle so wait till monday now..
