    Default hurricane exhaust

    Hi,
Just wondering what if anyone can tell me , what there experienecs are with a full Hurricane system. I live in NZ and Liverpool did a awesome quote for 4>1 1 7/8 headers, 3'' cat delete pipes and a twin 3'' M/S Sytem that is shipped to NZ $3200 all up. BUT i have never heard a Hurricane. I hate a system that barks abd is boomey. I dont mind noise as long as it not too too loud .....any info be grateful thanks
I got a quote for following systems fitted in NZ
    Full Bigboy diffillipo $4800
xforce full system 2.5'' in stainless $2800
    Remus s/s race-system $1200-cat delete pipes-keep fatory HSV Headers

I have plans for a cam later down the track

ahh K i was unaware of that, I just heard of them and thought they may be cheaper due to the location

I can't say what hurricane sounds like but if NAAF gets a hold of this thread he might be able to sort you a price on a Manta exhaust....I have one on my Calais and can't fault it

    thanks munz will do..
my previous VR Clubby was stroked to 355 and i really miss the sound of it.
For a LS1 with a fairly biggish cam, im looking to go a 232/234 595 112,i know i will loose some torque down low and be abit cranky but i have not heard a LS1 that i can say like sound wise , without a cam.
will a twin 2.5'' support the power as a few shops have told me a twin 3'' is a overkill and for a supercharger blady blady balh

they say that because 2.5in supports up to 350kw
I have a small cam 220/220 with LS6 CNC'd heads and its sounds deeper with the twin 3in over my old difilippo 2.5
I went for centre hotdogs aswell for more noise and its cheaper than the centre mufflers

So the manta hotdogs centre, sounds pretty deep, how would you describe the note compared to xforce? i have heard a few of those and quite puffy , raspy

I can pickup a twin m/s DF 2.5'' system from a mob called eastern auto for $875, how is the note and sound on that system? ive read they are really quiet

I wouldn't go with the force exhaust (my opinion) mufflers are bad quality and made in asia somewhere

Yea DF are a pretty quiet system and I wasn't happy with the kiss pipe on it.....when I sold it the hi-temp paint around the kiss pipe had burn't off - that to me says there's a huge restriction there. I also replaced the Manta's H pipe with an X-pipe from Sureflo Exhaust

this isn't the DF system but you get my drift

there many many different theories ect on merge, h pipe so on and so on. XForce say they test all there systems, so do all the others . Funny enough i know a OF a cammed LS3 in a VT and it has a single 3'' system with 4>1 headers and it reeled off 342 rwkw , so thats interesting

Well ive decided to go for a S/S Remus race system for $1200 fitted, retain the factory headers and have the cats removed for delete pipes. My neighbour has the remus road system on his VX SS and i hear it abit and think it sounds pretty nice.

I seen a guy with a VE with a hurricane exhaust, it sounded alright but a bit tinny if you ask me.

I had the remus installed today, with cats removed and replaced with delete pipes. ItS is a massive improvement in sound than the factory system, The torque has picked up everywhere. The car is going in next month for a cam and tune, so this system will sound very nice.Dont think going twin 3'' is the way to go for my setup, the ones ive heard are all noise and no note
