yeah i see where your coming from.

cannot wait for this tubliner actually.
hopefully put in some tie down hooks (security bits hoepfully.... even though they arent hard to cheat). and then can use a padlock and chain if needed.

a lock really only stops an honest thief. same as lockuts on wheels etc.

    but ahh well.
this thread was a good discussion on how to make something different and or better.
guess time will tell if someone will actually make something like this.
how about we make the pedals out of sticky rubber and the shoes with steel spikes. at least my shins would like that

serious suggestion, an alarm, you can get sensors that can pick up if your window has been smashed by the change in the air or breeze coming in (i think) im not exactly sure how it works or how it picks up but something to look into? i dont think its really possible to keep people out of a soft cover

Blueys Ute World do a lockable hard tonneau cover. I've got one on the hilux. It rolls back and sits until you need it, and you can still use the soft tonneau cover. Then when you need it, roll it over whatever you've got in there, and lock it up and fold the soft cover over it. Obviously for the bigger, more awkward items you cant lock it. But it means you can lock your smaller shit up.

Does it roll up and take practically no space at all? I would think it needs to go along rails or something to be able to lock it?
