Hey guys thinking of setting up a beer system in the boot of the VT using a custom miracle box anyone heard of doing this or seen it done?
Cheers Doug
Yes have seen it before but not in a commo, as in a mirage from memory. Was a good setup and a smick looking tap
Well I'm heading to the trim shop tomorrow to start working on the plans for it so I will keep everyone posted on the progress should be a fun boot install can't wait![]()
This would be good fun, I build a trailer a few years back, was an old fold out camper trailer, pissed off the canvas, kept the fold out top, threw a bar and sink in there with an old temprite I got off ebay, some some custom glass holders so nothing smashed on the road road, lick of matt black and a layer of polish on the bar top and she was a party on wheels, used it as side business for about 6 months until some bloke at a party offered me enough cash that I sold it then and there.
Now I miss her....
the yanks love this sort of thing i think they call it tail gating ... they pull up in the parking lot of football games and they have fold out BBQs and kegs and stuff some look unreal.. good luck mate take heaps of pics and start a build thread.
If in doubt......FLOOR IT!!!
Will do finding it hard to find a place to make a custom ice box in the boot anyone know of someone who makes custom eskys?
Try somewhere who builds commercial cool rooms. They'll have everything you need.
Cheers thanks for that found a place in warana
How big does it have to be? I have seen these big polystyrene boxes before. I think supermarkets use them to transport frozen fish etc.
My ride-VS commo, Just finishing the manual conversion. Working out those annoying bits!

Sounds like a great idea, but the space it uses up could be a problem. I use kegging with my homebrew, great beer. The gas wouldn't be a problem, just a small CO2 bottle, tap, and keg in a thermite or such, you could run the Co2 straight through the side of the thermite, and keep the keg in there. Attach the tap to the side of the thermite. How would you chill ? Couple of bags of ice would do the job for a daytrip I guess.
