what sort of box
HEY people i was just wondering what sort of gearbox the v6's ran in the VN series 2 VP VR and VS series one, are these all the same sort of bax can a np boc be used in a VS series 1

VN - GM Turbo HydraMatic 700 (THM700)
VP - GM Hydra-Matic 4L60 (also known as TH700R4)
VR - GM HydraMatic 4L60-E
VS - GM HydraMatic 4L60-E
VN/VP is interchangable, VR/VS is interchangable (sam gearbox though).
It was all the same gearbox really, its just the VR VS had an electronic version which is why VP hydraulic gearbox will not go into a VS Series 1.

As for manual boxes, VN, VP and VR all had the same manual which was a Borg Warner T5.
VS had the Borg Warner T5 as well, but the series 2 V6 VS commy's and Series 3 V8 had the Getrag 5 speed.
