Emission levels for VN 5ltr?

Just wondering if anyone knows the standard emission levels for the efi 5ltrs? Just a little curious as i have to have a emission test.... eventually. I want to know: Carbon Monoxide % and Hydrocarbons p.p.m (What ever that means?)

Try this. Vehicle ADRs
Not model specific but could be used as a guide. Start at page 11.

Below is from page 11.

Vehicles manufactured on or after 1 July 1976
Australian Design Rule - 27A 27B 27C and 37
Emission Levels ..... Carbon Monoxide 2.5% ..... Hydrocarbon 250 ppm.

Exhaust Noise
The exhaust systems on vehicles manufactured on or after 1st January, 1974 must at the time of first registration
comply with ADR 28 - Motor Vehicle Noise.
In service all vehicles must comply with the Road Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Rules 1999 Part 10 Division 3 – Noise Emissions.
For passenger cars, derivates and panel vans manufactured on or after 1 January 1983 the stationary noise level
when tested must not exceed 90 dB(A).

Passenger cars, derivates and panel vans manufactured before 1 January 1983 the stationary noise level when
tested must not exceed 96 dB(A).

hey dan may i ask where your getting your test done cos when i got done for emmisions regency wouldnt let me go anywhere but holden or mitsubishi and use their facilities which i thought was a load of crock.

They didnt specify any workshop at all even when i asked. Quote "Find a workshop with an exhaust gas analyser" The more reputable the company the more likely theyll leave it at that and not ask questions. Im getting the base reading at ultratune and see where i can go from there.....
