Upgrading swaybars in VT

Ahoy hoy, I'm after some advice on how to change swaybars/roll bars/anti-swaybars/whatever on a VT commodore.

While there's nothing wrong at present (if you count stock swaybars as being fine), but I want to get rid of some of the understeer in the ol' wagon.

I've been told that to replace the swaybars, for front and rear, you need to take out the entire subframe for the front (engine and all), and the whole subframe for the rear also, resulting in a pretty expensive price for what I thought would be relatively simple.

Any truth to this?

You have to lower the K frame on the front to remove and install the front sway bar. Haven't heard of anyone having to remove the engine though. I was quoted about $150 to have the job done.

The rear you have to lower the cradle, you can do this the same time you change your diff.
