advice needed for vl buyer!

hi guys!!
i need your advice!
ive got a mate who i can buy a standard vl off.. its been smashed in the front end but its not major just need new front bumper and bonnet..
its in near perfect condition inside and out other than that..
my plans are for a serious street/strip car!
i can pick it up for 700.. so ill be selling the motor and auto box straight away..
how hard is it to bolt up a turbo vl motor and 5 speed manual?

best advice would be dont lol save or pay a bit more get a newer model commodore as vl's are cop magnets and a bit over rated sometimes
