hey guys,
im curious, i dont relaly know how this works...
hav b.o.v's on supercharged engines...could this work with any system?? wher it the b.o.v. placed and all that jazz?? and on VLt's you can hav a dose pipe for when u get off the boost...can u hav that on a supercharger as well??
cheers fellas

no you cant dose a supercharger.
if the throttle body is located after the supercharger, then yes, you will need a BOV of some type, because pressure is being built up being the charger and the closed TB and needs somewhere to go. if the TB is before the charger, like on the L67 engine, then you wont need a blow off.

1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
so does urs run a bov?? or is it the other way round that needs a bov...on the raptor system on a v8 for example...does that need one?? and can u make them really loud, well fair loud, like IBLOWN
cheers

yep u need a bov for a sc14 setup like stockys and mine unless u mount the throttle body on the intake side of the blower, and i think the raptor charger use one aswell but dont quote me on that.

my t/b is b4 charger and i still run a bov so its not trying to boost at idle
but doesnt go woosh in this setup
it used too the old normal way
i want my woosh back heheh
If you don't want the whoosh, get a plumb back BOV, it vents through a hose to the exhaust.
