Tinting

Have just purchased a VZ maloo (quicksilver) and was wondering if anyone had pics of their silver cars with tints or any information about tinting. the guy said they have either a dark black or a reflective nuetral black, and would cost about $270. thoughts or advice cheers

i dont own a ute but i do know a bit about the tinting.. you said your car was quicksilver so i would go with the dark black. the reflective suits black cars mainly.

you can go with the reflective if you want but the dark black would suit your colour much better.

$270 can be beaten too.. especially for a ute.

$270 is a bit steep for a Ute, id ring around for a few more prices if I was you.

i got my vn done for professnaly done for $150 so to pay $270 for 3 windows in bull.****.

i think around the 200-250 mark would be fair for tint. instant windscreens said to me $200 for tint including lifetime warranty. tint a car is to expensive in my eyes. defiantly go a dark black!!

Did you have to take it back after acouple of days so he could check that it hadent moved or got a bubble in it or dont he do that anymore ? and if terry gave it to you cheap doesent mean old mate that started this thread can get it done cheap anywere so he will have to pay more than $150 for a ute so its not bull sh!t at all is it ?

yeah he checked it after 24 hours then after 48
no he charges 150 for utes for normal customers

Thought that would be rather cheap.....to tint the car all over......or is this for windows?

i had my ute done for $210 at tint a car, midnight express, have paid around the $300 mark for sedans, the dealer tinted my vy n they had $500 down as the cost for the tint it seems better quality than the tint ive had on my previous vehicles

Had my VP sedan dun at Tint a Car bout a month or more ago $300 (midnite express) but mine was shade 20 they said darkest legal costs the same neways so bout $200 sounds bout right 4 a ute. Thats including taking old tint off aswell

I never had a problem with tint professor always done a excellent job for $250

My old window tint on the SS has a couple of patches of light scratching near the bottom of the window that are visible when the window is all the way up... Will this reoccur on any new tint? i.e. do I need to sort out my window mechanisms before thinking about tint? Can get 20% cheap - $209 through work.

I know Tint-a-car use a different film on the cars from dealers so that might be why it costs a bit more. (well they use to not real sure now)

o briens is the best terry jones works there now so i know they are good i love my tint i had a car done at tint a car and it was poo and o briens might give you a little darker than legal

umm tint a car WILL give u darker than legal if u ask 4 it but like all businesses its not somthing they recomend coz theres consequenses gettin them. u do realise how many tint a car mobs there r? mayb u just went 2 a careless mob? sorry if it sounds like im baggin out obriens but im not.
