I'm sure this would have been asked b4, but can't find anything about it. If we were to put a 253 into a VH which is registered as a 6, wat has to be done?
I guess we'd have to go disk rear end and put heavy duty springs in the front, is that it? Do ya just go to the cop shop to get it looked at, or does it have to go over the pits?

and all u have to do is upgrade that parts to what a vh with a 253 came with..
and then just has to go over the pits to make sure its been fitted correctly and get a mod plate i think....
as long as the engine was an option from factory you shouldnt have any probs getting it threw that pits
and just go into the rta and change the info over with them to say u have changed engines

I don't think disks on the rear was standard on a VH 253. They even ran the same diff as the 6 not that it's going to last long. Front springs should be all you need to change then go to swap the engine details at the rego office
cheers guys.![]()
