Fuel pump and Surge tank sizing

Can anyone help me out with selecting the correct size lift, HP fuel pumps and surge tank for my 1jz-gte powered VL, I don't what to put these items inthe boot either so size does matter.

how long is a piece of string? first you need to calculate the fuel requirement for your engine. then find a pump that meats that requirement with a safety margin added in. where the lift pump is concerned, you don't really need a high pressure pump just as long as it has the volume required (including the safety margin)

as for surge tank sizing, it's not critical but it's got to fit where you want it (i'm assuming you your going to fit it in the engine bay because you don't want it in the boot) and it's got to hold enough volume so that should the pickup in the fuel tank run dry for a moment (i.e. when swinging the ass end around a corner) that there is enough fuel in the surge tank to keep the engine supplied.
